On 4 November 2012, I went with my domestic helper to Checkers Fourways to buy her a kitchen unit for R8000, for which I paid in full. At the end of November, the first delivery was made - the wrong kitchen unit. The Fourways manager blamed his staff and Alberton, the branch delivering the unit to her East Rand home. The correct unit was delivered on 20 December, but it arrived damaged, scratched, with loose parts. Since 3 January, my helper and I have been calling repeatedly. On 3 Jan, Janet from Fourways branch assured me it would take a maximum 2 weeks. On 31 Jan, I was told it would be delivered at the weekend. On 15 Feb, Ian told my helper it would be delivered on 16th Feb - she paid for the minibus taxi and took the weekend off work. Still no unit. After my complaint on Hellopeter (via Checkers Hyper) on 17 Feb, I was told Marcia Menezes from House and Home customer services would contact me. She didn't. Unit was finally delivered on 27 Feb - but only 3 pieces out of 4. Shocking. When and how is it going to end?
