Unfriendly refund procedure

I had an item, with its receipt, in my handbag, that I wanted to give back. At Customer Care/Exchanges I was told that I HAD to get a sticker from the security guard at the entrance. They weren't interested that I had the receipt. I presume this is done to avoid people taking an item and saying they want a refund when they haven't bought it. But surely since I had the receipt I shouldn't have had to do this???

Second point: I submitted a report on this site last month about 30 minute queues at Edgars on sale and Red Carpet days, and also mentioned the generally poor service at Edgars Balfour Park. I received a phone call from someone about that report but my phone wasn't working properly at the time and they left a message saying they'd phone again. This was on Wed and I haven't heard from them again. I phoned the landline number they phoned from - 011 247 4000 - and this number doesn't exist...???
