18th March 2013 - Bought from the Pick n Pay Meat Deli a few pieces of Chicken strips. It was plastic wrapped and sealed and then proceeded to pay for it. Since I am a rep on the road, we eat on the go, so took a bite while on the road around the corner from the center since it looked cooked on the outside. As I bit into it, it tasted a lot softer and chewier than usual but with an awful taste, swallowed the first bite until i saw the other half of the strip and it was raw inside. I proceeded to look and feel the rest of the pieces to which the entire batch I was sold was raw. With eating raw chicken, I now run the risk of food poisoning (salmonella) which could lead to the discomfort of my health. I was helped by the Store Manager in a positive way but the damage of consuming the raw chicken was done. I have taken a picture of the one chicken strip I bit into in half to prove the inside was raw as evidence, should it be required as evidence.
