Bad service

At 18:00 I went to Pick n pay in Baragwanath Soweto to do some shopping with the gift card I received from work. After packing all the goods in my trolley and rang them at the pay point. The cashier (Lebogang) abruptly said they need to verify my card by calling the head office. Lebogang called the manager and they attempted to contact the head office numbers on my incentive card only to find out that they are closed. The manager then sent a lady named Fortunate to tell me that if I don't have an ID book or drivers licence I will have to leave the goods I had already rung. I have shopped there before with the same card and didn't experience any issues. Fortunates excuse was that their pick n pay branch is a family business and they don't have the same policies and processess as the other branches. As a loyal customer it was very upsetting to hear that. I will never shop at that pick n pay again!
