Shocking Customer Service!!!

I took my mother to Miladys after work to shop for a few items. Just as we were about to pay, we browsed in the accessories section near the pay points. My youngest sister of 10 years picked up sunglasses and the lens fell out. The lady (with purple hair) at that section took them and went away with them. On her return she said: "get away from there, don't touch those accessories! " (in Zulu). I turned and told her that she has no right to talk to customers, (customers that were about to pay) like that. She then threatened that she will make us pay for those sunglasses so we must move. I told her that we had no problem paying for those if they could not be fixed and the fault was our, so she needn't act as if she is doing us a favour. I currently work in Marketing and have worked in-store in retail and I know that this is NO WAY to talk to customers (whether paying or not). This is unacceptable and I will not be visiting this Miladys store because of the POOR Customer treatment displayed by their employee. With all the other stores available in shopping centres, things such as customer service become the key differentiators between stores and that is how we make our choices.
