On Saturday we spent a whole lot at Makro buying a few big appliances. On getting home we called a qualified, registered electrician who came to install the defy stove. The top oven works and the bottom stove not, so obviously it's not a connection problem. The electrician established that the resistor on the display panel is faulty. I returned the stove on Monday as Makro promises a 14 day cash back policy. All I got is 'sorry madam'. The technician will have to come and check the appliance. And it can take up to 48 hrs. So after spending R7299 on a new stove, which we purchased with urgent needs, it seems we will be without a stove for 5 days. Clearly when you deal with giants they do not have the capacity to care for the needs of the customers.
