Rotten meat and poor service

Over the weekend we bought meat from Fruit and Veg city at Jacranda centre for a party. We bought R700 worth of meat including Mutton ribs and tjops. Upon opening the ribs on Saturday whilst having guests we instantly smelled the rotten meat, my mother who did not realise it was rotten became ill after eating some of it. We immediately threw the meat away. Sunday afternoon we opened the tjops and realised it was also rotten, it smelled horrible. We kept the tjops and went back to Fruit and veg to get a refund. The manager, Dirk Fourie, told us he could only refund the tjops seeing as though we did not have proof of the ribs. It is completely understandable that we were not able to get the refund, but the arrogant and inconsiderate way Dirk Fourie treated my mother was unacceptable.
