Good morning Peter!
We perused the 10TH of January, 2014's addition of the Zululand Observer and stumbled upon the advertisement placed by Food Lovers Market (page11)! Much to my amazement they advertised stewing beef at R37.99 / KG yet the picture clearly reflects the meat cut as being Sirloin/Porterhouse! I therefore proceeded to the store and requested the product as advertised. Porterhouse at R37.99 / KG. The assistant behind the counter then argued the matter where I then requested to speak to someone in management! Much to my amazement no one was available! They were all out! At this stage I decided to phone the Food Lovers Market Head Office! After Various discussions with a Mr. Devon Curry I was yet to resolve the matter. He informed me that the steak was placed in the picture just to fill the frame and after enlarging the photograph 300 times he managed to find a bone behind the caption on the photograph! Devon also admitted as to not having any knowledge of meat cuts! If you had to show this cut to any Block man/Butcher/Meat Lover he/she would tell you straight what cut of meat this is and for this reason believe they should pay for their mistakes!
