I cannot believe that I am writing a complaint about Makro as I always get fantastic service from Makro, but yesterday I did not get good service from them. I went to Makro yesterday to purchase the Bali umbrella with base that was on special for R498 and after circling the umbrella section for 15 minutes without any sales person in sight, I went to go ask someone for assistance. I told the guy what I want to purchase, and he simply said that they are sold out, not even offering to give me a "rain check" to purchase it at the same price once stock arrives. I then left the store and when I logged onto their website, it showed that Germiston does indeed have stock of this item. I then tried to purchase it online via [URL Removed] but that did not work as the website had a "glitch" and it did not allow me to enter my delivery address. The special ended yesterday and I wasted half my day and did not get to purchase the item. I am really disappointed with Makro!
