I went into Groenkloof Oos Butchery today to buy colddrink. I saw the price on the shelf was R10 (for 500ml bottle), and also R10-50. I took 2 bottles, 1 x fanta grape, & 1 sparletta (red). I only had R20 with me. When the cashier rang them up, I was charged R21-00. I said it was R10 on the shelf. She said no, it is R10.50. I told her to ring the fanta grape up. I went back to the fridge to check, and the price was R10. (The cashier then ignored me when I went back to query this)..There was another price - R10.50. I queried this, and the man at the butchery counter called someone else over. He wanted to take the R10 shelf price off, but I stopped him. I asked for the manager, and told him what had happened, and that the price says R10. He said it is not his fridge! He really didn't seem worried at all, when I said the CPA says, the lower price should be rung up. In fact, he said I can complain to the CPA. ABI, what is your take on this? You are being blamed for the incorrect price on the shelf!
