On Saturday 21 December 2013, I went to Checkers at the st georges square in George to collect money.
I was second in line with 7 people behind me. There is 4 tills at the moneymarket with only 1 cashier/assisstent. One would think that in the festive season there should be more help (cashiers) seeing that the small beach town is full of visitors but surely the managers of this store does not think so.
After standing in the line for nearly 20 minutes, the moneymarket cashier made an announcement that all those standing in the line to collect money can go to any of the tills and receive it there. Everyone scattered and went to the front end tills. After queing in that line the cashier simply sent me back to the moneymarket section saying she cannot give me money if i want to draw it with my green id booklet. So back to the moneymarket counter again. I stood there for 15 minutes again and then left the store without being helped. I just couldnt stand in that store for a minute any longer.
It is December there should be more help for the customers seeing that there is 4 tills at the counter.
This is by far the longest time i have spent in a store without being helped.
