I tried posting this on their website. However, I am not able to select a town or closest store. As these are required fields, I cannot post a complaint.
On 28/06/2013 I was in Checkers Makhado. I was patiently waiting at the cigarette counter. When I came in front, a man suddenly pushed is front of me. I informed him that he is jumping the line. He informed that yes, he knows, but continued to push in front. Despite the cashier seeing all of this, she continued to help him first. I strongly feel that the cashier should be able to protect the interest of other shoppers.
When I was finally helped, I asked to buy airtime. The cashier informed me that they do not sell airtime at the cigarette counter. Had there been a sign up saying so, I would not have wasted my time. It seems pointless and a bigger waste of time to go stand in the lines in the shop, when there is so many tills closed...
In the future I would rather drive 6 km further and make use of Pick 'n Pay, than set foot in Checkers again. This is not the first incident of this kind, and I have had it with poor customer service.
