Thurs 19th Dec. we bought 8 sachets of milk with expiry date of 22nd December.
the very next day, the 20th, on opening a bag we noticed it was sour, so poured it down the drain and opened another one.by that afternoon it was also already sour so we poured that away and opened another..
after opening 5 of the 8 sachets and finding them sour, we decided to take it all back to the store as this was not the first time their milk had not lasted to the expiry date.
we went back to the store today, 21st, and spoke to a helpful staff member who informed us that they are well aware of that batch of milk being sour as we were not the first customers that day to bring it back, however, we needed our till slip to return anything. she had to speak to the manager to authorise the return of the milk.
eventually a manager comes over and informs us he will not take back the milk without a till slip. when pointed out its the brand they sell, he says we could have brought it anywhere.
if only you applied your purchasing policy as strictly as you apply your returns policy, you would not sell rubbish milk.
then to call me childish cause i left the leaking bags of sour milk in the store ..
