I'm forced to log this out of resignation
I purchased, and paid in full, for a new Hisense refrigerator, a specific model for size and type, on the 30/11 from Makro (Springfield, Durban). Having then confirmed stock availability; arranged for delivery for Sat 7/12, before 12h00.
By 14h00 on Sat 07/12 I found myself calling the store to find out that no delivery was to happen as the stock was found to be damaged - fair enough: but why was this not checked beforehand and the customer notified?
I was then assured delivery on Tues 10/12. At this point I have already sold my old fridge on the good faith of the prior arrangement.
By the time I have to call on Wednesday to get any followup, I am informed that stock would arrive on Thur/Fri and I would be contacted then to confirm delivery.
Following another spate of no contact, I found myself calling on Fri/13th to be told that there is no delivery from the manufacturer as yet.
Speaking to the store manager on Saturday I have the greatest sympathy for them being at the whim of a supplier, but no communication and late excuses are poor consolation for a customer R10k out of pocket, fridge-less and with zero faith in the store.
