Bought an LG microwave oven last week. 7 days later found a cockroach in LED display screen of oven. Only saw it then as roach walked over LED Nr. Never had cockroach problems in house before. Only used oven twice to warm up cereal since bought. Thus, food could not have attracted the roach. Manager in store refused to exchange. Said my warranty is void (after 7 days) due to cockroach infestation. Staff even showed me email correspondence of another similar incident where client had to pay for damages due to same infestation to proof warranty is void. Thus I am not the first to buy equipment from H&H with cockroaches in. How is that possible that within a week I can get cockroach infestation in my house if I never had a problem? How did a cockroach get into the screen of a mic oven, especially within a couple of days as the plastic layer was not even pulled off properly yet.
Were does that leave me? Now I, the client, have to take my brand new mic oven to LG in Edenvale (I'm in Pta) to get the cockroach out, at my expense.
This being said, I was a very loyal client of H&H Menlyn, especially when Sundra still worked there. Unfortunately, after this, I cannot return to H&H.
