I had erroneously transferred an amount via eft into my Woolworths account, substantially more than I had intended to pay towards my account. After calling the call centre, within a short space of time a very courteous call centre person answered and immediately grasped my dilemma. Essentially the overpaid amount needed to be transferred back to me because, my own banking institution, Standard Bank, could not reverse the transaction, even though I informed Standard bank's Prestige banking call centre in less than an hour after the erroneous payment had been made. Woolworths and specifically Kim sent me regular updates and was very responsive to my requests for information on the progress made in refunding the overpaid-amount. The refund was deposited into my account within a few days. Well done Woolworths Financial services, especially the call centre person, Kim! Thanks.
