I have bought a packet of mixed nuts (1kg) from Dis-chem Raslouw on two occasions. Both times, the pecan nuts in the packet of mixed nuts where rancid. I have brought it under the manager's attention the first time and he said that they would have a look at it. When it happened again today, I took it back and demanded my money back. The manager did not have any problem refunding my money (R112). He said he would take it up with the Alman's rep when calls again.
My second complaint is that the packet of mixed nuts, contains peanuts. Not only is it very dangerous in terms of allergies, but it is a misrepresentation of the product to state that it is mixed nuts and then the product contains peanuts. A peanut is not a nut and the label also did not list peanuts as one of the ingredients.
