Today is the 23rd of november. the expiry date for my term loan agreement is the 25th of november. arriving at the store today i gave the woman my id book and ask to take the items out, she gave me an amount which i paid and then went next door to collect my items. the manager gave me my laptop and then told me that they made a mistake when they sold their gold and they accidentlly put my engagement ring with the gold that they sold. the manager acknowledged it was their fault. the manager then offered to either give me my money back that i have paid (the release sum) or i must supply him with a valuation certificate that is not older than 2013 as goods needs to be valuated every year. does he really think im that stupid - why would i accept R837 FOR AN ITEM THAT IS WORTH R6000 . he then advised me to bring the valuation certificate and they would refund me the value. i asked him if the owner knew about this and he replied that she does, so clearly it has been discussed before today. my question is - when were the gold sold and why wasnt i informed of same. how does he still have the packaging with a clear expiry date on it for 25th november 2013. this is ridiculous.
