Yesterday I went to our local Spar -Ferndale, and bought a few snacks including biltong. I get home and we start eating it without looking at we were eating. My partner then decided to look at the piece she was about to eat and there were maggots crawling all over it! We look into the paket of biltong and there are maggots crawling over every piece! We have just eaten maggots!!!
I go back to Ferndale Spar and explain what has just occured. The Manager stares at me with a blank facial expression. He then offers to replace the biltong! There is no chance I am going to eat anything from that shop again!
When I notice that the manager was not even going to offer to refund me I insisted on my money back!
After such a traumatising experience of eating maggots off of biltong I have just bought and having that lack of any response is shocking!
I have taken pictures and will be sending them to all the media contacts I have!
