I originally bought a Waterwell Ice Making Machine from this store about two years ago. On the 16th September I took this Machine to the above store for repairs. On booking it in, I had to pay R200=00 "quotation charges" which I was told would then be deducted from the price IF I accept the quote.

I paid the said R200=00 for which I was given a receipt. Nearly two weeks later, Hirsch's phoned me to advise that the quotation for repairs is R795=00. After a bit of a discussion to the lady, expressing my unhappiness as this was close to the price I originally paid for the machine, I accepted the quotation. I then was asked when I wold be able to pay the outstanding R595=00 so the repairs can be carried out. It was on the 27th September that I went and paid the amount in store.

I have now paid R795=00 up front to one of the biggest appliance outlets, to have a small Ice Machine repaired. It is now the 10th of November, nearly two months later, that the only feedback I have had, is that the machine is now in Durban awaiting a part which is the Ice Tray. Two months to repair an Ice Machine???
