After going to this SPAR to purchase some lunch I decided to by the pre-packaged day old pies. As i wanted them heated I requested they not be microwaved with the gladwrap and polystyrene still holding the product as I know this can be extremely harmful (this was a new concept to her). Upon return to the counter to collect my pies I see she had removed the wrapping but proceeded to cook it on the polystyrene. This was not bad as she said she would replace them with other pies and reheat them. what is shocking is she proceeded to re-wrap these heated pies and put them back on sale. Now I know this can be an extremely dangerous practice as heating a pie repeatedly can lead to some seriously harmful bacteria growth. I was very disturbed to see how one meal could be run through such a dangerous and disturbing gauntlet of health risks. To me it is even sadder as these products are aimed at lower LSM consumers who both don't know the health risk involved and don't know of the correct avenues to complain about these flawed and dangerous practices!
