I went in to the Cowey Road branch to buy some pies. I clearly requested 3 Chicken Curry pies and a Vegetable pie. I recieved my order, paid for it and left. When i arrived home found that i had been given 2 Chicken Curry pies, 1 Mutton pie and a Vegetable pie. I was very upset because i do not eat red meat for health reasons and also cause my order was wrong. I then realized that all 3 pies came from the same section of the warmer which means that the pies were kept mixed with other pies and not separated as per the tags were marked. This did not surprise me as the Veg pie was kept where the Spinach and Feta pie was and the Spinach and Feta pie was where the Veg tag was. Now this is more worrying as i do not know what cross contamination is going on in the kitchen when the pies are being prepared. When i called the store to speak to a manager she was very unclear and was not very helpful with a solution. The quality and service at Bread Ahead has really dropped. I don't think i will be supporting them anymore i will be sure to tell everyone i know about this incident and that there might be cross contamination in their kitchen.
