Unacceptable standard of service

I bought a pair of shoes and presumed that because they were tied together that it was one left shoe and one right shoe but there were 2 left shoes. I also bought 2 vests from the mens section and put one back because it ended up being a ladies vest. I specifically asked the cashier if the 2nd one was a mens vest or a ladies vest and she said it was a mens vest. There was no one on the floor to ask otherwise I would have done so. When I arrived home and gave it to my brother to try on it too was a womens vest... Its disappointing to buy your brother a gift for his birthday that his sister could have worn and he couldn't have.
