In a recent flyer, Clicks advertised amongst other many items 2 Ply Clicks Toilet paper - 18 rolls for R69, 95. I saw packets in Edgemead one Friday evening.
I returned a few days later, but saw no more packets, and on enquiring was told that no more stock was available. When I asked if stocks would be available shortly, I was met with a shrug and blank stare - don't know. I was going to explain that stock should be available if advertised, but didn't think it worth my while. The Edgemead Clicks is not really a flag store, and the staff not very co-operative.
On Wednesday 30 October I went into Clicks at N1 City Mall - Goodwood. Saw no stock. Found a staff member eventually, who opened a door into a store room and asked someone about the toilet rolls. No more stock I was advised. I saw a flyer lying on the counter, and told the lady that if they advertised they must ensure they have sufficient stock. She advised me that she could phone around other stores to see if they had any, but I told her not to bother because Clicks do not get back to you. I was promised a call last year for a similar problem but am still waiting. Luckily Woolworths had stock of 18 rolls so they made a sale.
