I received a letter in the mail over two years ago from Edgars - If I do not use the account within 30 days it will be closed. I did not use the account.
Now, more than 24 months has past and I receive an email from Edgars reactivating my account with a R20 voucher...
I never gave permission or consent to this - which is a .u.l.e.n.t. act according to the National Credit Act.
I insisted that my details be deleted off their system: they inform me:
"Please be advised that the payment profile records at the Credit Bureau are updated on a
monthly basis to reflect a factual credit history of the account over the past 24 months,
therefore we cannot change or remove any records in terms of the National Credit Act."
I do not care about your problems - you activated the account WITHOUT my consent: DELETE MY INFORMATION FROM YOUR SYSTEM OR I WILL TAKE LEGAL ACTION!!
