In 1998 I had an account with Milady with my last payment I asked the assistant to closed the account now after 16 years with no contact or letters from Milady to say that I still owe money I get a phone call to say my account has been handed over to MBD collectors. I then called the numbers they gave me but when I asked them why after all the years they only contacted me now they cant answer me and if i ask what the money is for that i owe they give numerous excuses. I then called Miladys head office to asked if i am still on their system and why they only handed the account over now they all they say is the account has been handed over and that I'm not on their system and I need to speak to the debt collector. I did call MBD and the person I spoke to said that Milidays should explain why they only handed the account over only now? I'm running in circles and no one can seem to give me a valid reason and the charges to my account is increasing. What should i do please help!!
