I have been an Edgars customer for many years. I have always been a very good payer and have never had any problems with regards to payment. For the past two years or so I decided to pay more than what I was due and to still pay in the months when I have no instalment due - this way I don't have to rush to the shop every month to make a payment - I am giving myself some leeway. I have just received a call from the rudest person I have ever spoken to asking me why I haven't paid saying my account is in arrears. I told her I had no idea I had an instalment due. She said "you haven't paid since July, so how can you think you don't have an instalment due". Like I said I always pay more so I don't have to be worried to get there every month. I also told her that you guys keep increasing my limit even though I say NO and I am pretty sure that's against the NCA. All she kept saying is "when will you pay and how much" so I said I will pay when I get to the shop again. Then she said "when will this be" and I said "I'm not sure, but I will settle my account when I get there again", so she said "so you can keep expecting calls til you pay" and hung up. I was shocked to be treated this way!
