I learnt something new from dischem on saturday - ringworm need to be treated with dewormer! And this from 3 different pharmacists at the store!
The first one did not know what ringworm was, and after consultation with what looked to be her superio, brought me anti-fungal cream and vermox! When I queried this, I got told the vermox would deworm my child. After much debate on the matter, I requested help from someone who actually knew what ringworm was. Another lady was thrust on me. I asked her if she knew what ringworm was, she replied yes she did, it was like athletes foot. 6ine. Close enough. She ALSO brought me vermox. I asked her how dewormer was supposed to help and she said that it would clear up the "ringworms"!!! I further questioned her to discover that this particular store ALWAYS treats ringworm with an anti-fungal AND vermox!
I wonder, is this plain incompetence or is Dischem trying to do its customers in by adding unnecessary products to customers' lists? Customers who place these pharmacists in a position of trust?
I am highly disgusted by the way this entire matter was handled!
