I bought a custom made chain on 7 August for a birthday present. I had to pay a 50% deposit. The lady told me it would take 4 to 6 weeks for delivery. I have no problem waiting seeing as the necklace is quite special and I believe takes quite a while to make. I do have a problem waiting over 7 weeks and still nobody can even tell me if there is any progress. A week back (21 September) I went to the shop. First of all the ladies working there was more interested in gossiping than giving any form of service. When she did assist me she was no help at all and could tell me absolutely nothing. I would like to think they do keep record, seeing as jewellery isn't cheap and for future reference I can trust them when I do buy an expensive piece, that they would not lose it. I do believe it is their job to know. I was told that I would recieve a phone call to inform me if there is any progress (23 September). Still no call has been recieved and I am getting quite impatient knowing I paid for something nobody can tell me if it is being made or not. This after I was promised she would phone. This birthday present is now a christmas gift thanks to the horrific service of American Swiss.
