In preparation for an annual holiday i purchase 4 Pirelli Scorpion ATR tyres from TWT Fourways Crossings. As we often negotiate gravel roads we were told that these were the best off-road tyres. For good measure we even took out insurance on the tyres. Off we went to Etosha in Namibia with peace of mind. Less than 2, 000km of which less than 300km was on gravel roads we experienced our 1st puncture. Put the spare on (which was not in the best of condition but hey we had 4 new tyres on the car!) and got a 2nd puncture. The garage in Etosha told us that they were unable to repair the brand new tyre's puncture, but were able to plug the spare tyre puncture. As a result we had to ship 2 new tyres from Windhoek to Etosha to enable us to make the journey home. Conti Tyre in Outja told us the Pirelli tyre was a defect. We brought the tyre back and i returned it to TWT to investigate. This was on the 3rd Sep. i was told they would get back to me in a week. I called on the 20th Sep and left a message for the manager to call me. I am still waiting. i am disgruntled as i have spent a fortune on really good tyres both in RSA and in Namibia for a product that can't do what i was advised it could
