I sent through a compliaint via the Checkers website yesterday morning regarding an advertised item being out of stock. In a few hours, I received a call from a regional manager (Mr Govender, I think), who apologised for the problem and offered to forward this to the store for them to take it up further. About one hour later, I received a call from the Queenburgh store manager once again apologising and inviting me to come back to the store for the item. It was great that she accepted responsibility for this and did not make any excuses. I am so impressed that in less than a day, my complaint was dealt with in such a positive way. It's so refreshing to receive such great customer service - something that is sadly lacking in so many stores/retailers/ service providers. I felt it necessary to send this through as I think we need to give credit where credit is due. I take my hat off to you Checkers, and Rekha for being so helpful and addressing my issue - it's greatly appreciated.
