In two separate incidents at Makro Vaal the "I am sorry sir, but we are out of stock" line was used. During July 2013 and now again this line has been used. I was interested in buying a gas hob and phoned in advance to query the products and whether there are any on display. The sales person did inform is, but did not mention that any of that was out of stock. When I decided on the product we had to wait 20 min just to get the response "Out of stock" as this was the second time in two separate incidents this occurred I requested to speak to the supervisor. The supervisor then said that he, can not change the display every time no stock is available. I don't mean to interfere with Makro's business, but a simple, non-complex sign showing "Out of Stock" would suffice. Well done Makro for loosing R 10, 000.00 sales in two incidents. Keep up the good work! I feel it is also important to mention that in both times the sales related to Appliances.
