The management at the Lyndhurst Spar just seem not to know their story. I went to buy a few fizzy drinks and a bottle of non-alcoholic bubbly.
The cashier called a supervisor to confirm if she was allowed to sell the non-alcoholic bubbly given the no alchohol after 15:h00 regulation. The supervisor said that she could go ahead and scan it but went to verify with the store manager who in turn said that I was not allowed to buy it because it wine.
Despite the big label on the bottle indicating "Non-alcoholic" this guys was adamant that it's an alcoholic product and that he is prohibited by law to sell it to me.
And this is not the first time I have experienced problems with the Lyndhurst spar. On one occasion I bought a few grocery items and wanted a pair of batteries. After having stood in a queue for 10 minutes, I was told that I had to buy the batteries from the kiosk where I had to join another queue. When I got to the kiosk, there was only one cashier managing 2 counters. When I complained, the store manager did not even apologise but rather told me that he was understaffed and there was not much that he could do.
