On the 19th of August 2013 at 17:30 I went to do my shopping at Pick n pay in Rand park ridge.
First off, I know it was after 5 and you could clearly see that the staff was not interested in being there.
There was no pricing on the toilet paper that I wanted to buy (this was on promotion at the time so very bad customer service to not have a price on the shelf) No staff around to ask where missing products were as there was no stock on the shelves.
The meat section was not much better, I wanted to buy chicken breasts but the expiry date was on the 20/08/13 and had been packed on the 09/08/13 already. Would you buy chicken that had been standing there that long?
I was shocked when the managers on duty were standing around and watched as I moved trolleys that were in my way at the exit for the tills whilst 3 other on duty employees standing nearby also just watched.
I was very unimpressed with Pick n Pay, you are a franchise and there-fore have a precedent set by your Head office to deliver great service and fresh products. Why was this not done yesterday?
