Diamond Replacement

On the 13th of July i collect my wedding ring at Sterns because the diamond was replace. When i look at the ring and ask the Store manger whats looking so funny he said it was a setting (claw). on the 24th July i took the ring back because the ring looked untidy where the diamond was supposed to be replaced was a piece of gold. The store manager contact the jeweller, the jeweller advised him that he put the gold there because thats the way he secures the diamond. I said they should fix it and i paid for the diamond not for gold and it looked very untidy. They took the ring back and i collect it on 3 august 2013. I discovered that my diamond inside the ring is gone where the engraving are FOREVER.Why do the store only open the package when i collect it, why dont they check the ring though one of those glasses to check if everyting is still there. Why must i go back and forth to the store to me this is unacceptable. When i notice something was wrong on the 13th why didnt the store manager check. Last week 3 august why didnt they check again if everyting is fine.
