Poor Product Support - faulty product

On the 21 December 2012 i purchased a MultiChip Diamond ring from American Swiss in Eastgate and on the 6 August 2013 i reported that a diamond had fallen out -NO Wear Damage had occured. I discussed this with the store and was advised that the ring only carries a 6 MONTH WARRANTY which DOES NOT state this anywhere on the warranty card nor did the shop assistant mention this at all when purchasing.
I was told that a quote would be made and i would have to pay. I contacted Simone Ward at Head Office Cape Town who mentioned that the product only carries a 6 month warranty which i again was suprised as it cost (R4000) which was not purchased at a spaza shop. She put me through to the Ops manager who once again expressed warranty period and that the warranty terms are on the back of the till slip and they are well within the law and credit consumer act and that i would have to pay and they are not sure how long the quote would take to be finalized. They will however offer 20% on the stone value. I ASKED WHYTHE TERMS OF WARRANTY ARE NOT ON THE WARRANTY CARD AS THAT IS WHERE IT SHOULD BE or why the shop attendants don't advise WHEN BUYING. No interest shown, acting within the law.
