My Fiance bought me a silver ring after i had lost my original engagement ring from American Swiss.
I had my new ring for about a month and a half and i noticed the ring was all dull and it looked like someone took sand paper and sand papered my ring. So i took it to American Swiss N1 City and the girls were very helpful but i was told the ring is doing that because of ware and tare or the acid in my body when i have been wearing a silver chain for 3 years and it is still perfect!!! I then sent it away so they can do a manufacturing test and that came out negative. they told me it was 'WARE AND TEAR'. So i enquired about my warranty and insurance if it will cover, and the answer is no!!! WHY ON EARTH DO I HAVE INSURANCE AND A WARRANTY ON THAT RING IF I MUST PAY CASH FOR REPAIRS!!! PATHETIC. Nobody is able to explain to me how it is possible for it to be ware and tare!! I work in front of a PC all day, i never exposed my ring to water or any chemicals and i have proof from a doctor that my acid levels are fine! SO HOW IS THAT DAMAGE WARE AND TARE OR ACID DAMAGE! Beyond angry and i will never purchase from American Swiss again! HIGHLY DISAPPOINTING!!
