Pick 'n Pay
Kettle not working - Refused to Exchange

On the 30 June I went to Pick 'n Pay Phalaborwa store to purchase a new kettle. When I got home the kettle couldn't switch on. Since I was travelling back to JHB on the 01 July, my mother went back to the store on my behalf on the 05 July and to her surprise she was told that Pick 'n Pay will not exchange the kettle because we have already used the kettle and hence we damaged it. My mother went back to the store again on the 12 July with my sister to follow up on the matter, they met one of the managers by the name Ian Klynsmith, he also confirmed the same story that we damaged the kettle and hence the store will not exchange it.

Without wasting too much of my time, I want my full refund of R80 plus transport fare of R40 (2 days). This is breach of contract: "What happened to the 12 months full refund / exchange guarantee? "
People like Ian Klynsmith bring their family issues to work and subsequently take advantage of the poor, especially in small towns like Phalaborwa.

If Pick 'n Pay fails to refund me by the 20 July, I will take the matter up to the Ombudsman, I am not lazy to take up a matter like this to Ombudsman, even if it's for R1.
