Pick 'n Pay
What has happened to Pick 'n Pay?

Canal Walk - Sunday mornings when there are large queues, only 3 cashiers open. I waited for 30 minutes in the queue to find that the credit card machine was not working.

Sable Square - No stock of most items. They stock one brand one week, another brand the next week. No consistency whatsoever.

Picbell (Strand Str) - Long queues at the salad counter, only one person working there. They also unpack your trolley if you leave it unattended for less than one minute to fetch something from another isle. Who behaves like that? The delivery trucks block the roads with complete disregard for the other cars needing to get past.

Adelphi Centre Sea Point - The store is filthy. Fresh food section is abysmal. Very limited stock. Trolleys get taken and emptied by other customers, too lazy to get their own trolley, in front of the surveillance camera but somehow does not capture the footage. The Kosher section is embarrassing.

Pick 'n Pay was once a quality store with quality service, and stock. The only thing keeping the customers there is the Smart Shopper benefit. Aside from that, Checkers and Spar offer far better shopping experience.
