On Sunday the 9th June we decided to try out the food at Food Lover's Market (FLM) for lunch. We had chicken biryani, beef and vegetables.
My wife became ill with diarrhoea in the early hours of Monday morning and I followed in the morning. She had an upset stomach for 2 days.
I contacted FLM on Friday 14th where the response was "Our procedure states that I need a doctor's note to confirm that your illness was due to the food you had at FLM"
First of all: How is a customer supposed to know about their internal procedures?
Secondly: I should now fork out additional fees to consult a doctor so I can make the report "more accurate"
Thirdly: That is just straight bad service as I am taking the time to give you a call (at my expense) to give feedback on something you may/may not be aware of and the last thing I want is to treated badly on top of the fact that I was poisoned by your food.
This is simply unbelievable that in this day and age we would receive such bad quality products and bad service in South Africa.
