Initial query as to the company's policy of allowing handheld dogs in the supermarket as there is a clear sign posted at the door - No animals allowed. I have had a response via e-mail and from Customer Care Line advising that either the Branch Manager or the Regional Manager will contact me regarding my query. To date this has not happened. From this response I gather they couldn't be bothered about the hygiene in their shop.
On speaking to friends/customers, I have since learnt that birds on shoulders, as well as a Marmoset monkey, on the shoulder, was allowed in.
All I want to know is what is the policy regarding animals in a supermarket, is it allowed and what the consequences will be with regard to hygiene etc.
