On 4 May I bought a camera @ Canal Walk while on holiday in CT. I didn't open it as I didn't have a memory card with me. When I got home & opened the box, I noticed that the "tamper proof" tape opened too easily. However, everything in the box seemed in order. I have been unable to download photos, & my PC keeps giving an error of "no device found". I noticed the cable fitted loosely, so I lent a Sony cable & it worked perfectly. Once it downloaded pics, I found a photo from inside your store dated 11 Feb 2012 - so the box HAD been opened & I was sold a camera that is not new. I am quite upset about this as I paid for what I thought was a new camera. I went to your Sandton store today to explain. They said they can do nothing, but exchanged the cable. I've just tried it & it also doesn't work! Really? I bought what I thought was a brand new camera which ended up being (I assume) a demo model & now I can't download any pictures because the cable is faulty. This is ridiculous! Sony W690. I would like to have a response to this issue please. I find the multiple staff in your stores very unhelpful (Northgate/Sandton). 1 advised they are sales staff & aren't trained for product support
