When reaching the pay point, I noticed a price discrepancy for a "Five Pack of Spot-light Bulbs" which I intended to purchase. The scanner showed R129.00. The bulbs however, had been merchandised above signage which showed R49.00. I'm not a 'difficult customer' who argues for the sake of saving a few bucks, however, charging more than what is advertised is illegal (Customer Protection Act) Also, had I seen pricing for R129.00 on any of the shelves above or around where the bulbs had been packed, I might still have understood the Managers argument. The most shocking and disturbing part of the ordeal was the inappropriate tone, approach, and degrading comments which the Louise, the stores General Manager had to offer... comments such as "don't you know this isn't that normal cheap globes!? This is spot-lights! " and the indirect chirping of "So where's the R129.00 pricing? I find it rather strange that these barcodes just mysteriously disappeared" which, in all honesty, felt as though it was aimed at us (my wife & myself) as though we were to blame for his store's neglect & incompetence - Totally disgusted & quite humiliating to say the least!
