Ihkwezi Projects was the Labour Brokers of Ruchan Projects, a construction company - a mine in the DRC. They contact me in regards ta safety vacancy on the Tenke Fungurume mine. After completing my medical, sent them my passport and completing all the requirements according to them I contacted them and ask them for my flight details. They sent me an sms stating I was suppose to fly on 08/05/2013 to the Congo. When I asked about the flight details (day before I fly) they say it is my responsibilty to arrange a flight to JHB whereby I will fly to Congo. I finally got my contract and nothing was stipulated, not my salary date nor the deduction which will be deducted from my salary. When the MD from Ruchan projects phoned me and asked why I am not on site I told him I was unsatisfied with the t&c of my contract he said I should state everything and get back to him. In the contract it clearly stipulated Ihkwezi Projects is responsible for the flight costs from where Iive I live to JHB.When I asked them to just changed the contract to stipulate that when I will be paid and if I dont get paid my contract is terminated. They said they cant meet my requirements and they wont give my passport back.
