I would like to know when Eskom is going to recommence all the projects they have put on hold when they did not get their 16% increase. Billions were spent on these projects, which the public does not know about, and now they have all been halted. The focus of these projects was to re-enable Eskom to perform the required maintenance on the power stations. Since 1994 the maintenance baselines (Plans, drawings, schedules etc.) were lost and became outdated. These were in the process of being drafted and updated when all projects got frozen. This means, in 2 years time, we will have no electricity and the tax payer would have funded projects running in the billions, which will never pay off. Not to mention the hundreds of qualified personnel they have left unemployed due to greediness (and off-course the support of our government). GET THESE PROJECTS GOING, TO SECURE A "POWER" full future for ALL SA Residence.
