Cannot close account of the deceased

My uncle passed on the 22/02/2013 and my parents took his death certificate to Barnetts BellaOmbre. They were told that his account is still owing and his insurance will not pay off because his insurance term has passed. I tried calling Barnetts Randburg which I believe is the head office and the phone just rings and no one picks up. I then tried JD group and they gave me another number that I should call and this phone just rings too.(010 211 0100 and 0860 110 804). My last option was then to send an E-mail to Financial Services Query Randburg [Email Removed] and Tsepo Maketekete replied telling me to take the death certificate to Barnetts store. I wonder which part of the email did he not understand? I did say that certificate was sent to the store and my parents couldn't get help there. They are elderly people; they cannot be going up and down to solve one small issue. The owner of the account passed on and he wasn't married and no one is taking over his account. It's that simple.
