Very poor client relations and service

On 20 Mar '12 I called ADT control room and spoke to Gerswin to complain about poor response time and lack of (or no) patrols in my area. He put me in touch with a Shaun Pieter who I again explained my frustrations to. Shortly thereafter I received a call from Chris Anderson on my mobile and we discussed these frustrations, and where he promised that we will start to see the ADT vans in our area. This did not occur which further frustrated me.
On 8 Jun '12 I called ADT control room again and spoke to Chene and explained that I wanted to cancel the service and direct debit. She advised that I send an email and this would be effected - which I did on 20 Jun '12.
I called Jonathan on 25 Jun '12 to follow up on my email dated 20 Jun '12. On 26 Jun '12 I received a call from Ratania Hendricks.
I then sent an email to [Email Removed] on 4 July '12 to complain that ADT did not even acknowledge my email on 20 Jun '12. In addition, I stated that I wanted the direct debit to be cancelled immediately.
I also confirmed that sales rep (Heather) confirmed to me on 3 November '11 that I am not signing a fixed contract.
Now I have ADT trying to force me to pay a cancellation fee!
