Booked technical to change my matrix remote as it no longer works on Monday 25 Feb 2013. Was informed that I would be contacted in 48 hours. Needless to say there was no call. Phoned again today to enquire and was told that my call out was cancelled by Mix Telematics as I had agreed to sign a new 36 month contract and have a new unit installed. This is a blatant untruth.. But anyway, keeping a vague sense of humor I again enquired as to when my remotes could be replaced and obviously challenged their claim. Then the story changed. The unit I have is no longer made, spares are not going to be supplied ever and my only choice is to upgrade to a new model at a higher cost, 36 month contract and of course inconvenience to me. Funny how on Monday it was possible to book a tech call, Interesting is that they delayed response until I enquired and wow, it's month end and as anyone knows it is too late to cancel the debit order with the bank as the mag tapes have already been processed.
So I am stuck with them for another month and it is clear that the entire process is designed to force customers into new contracts. In April I get a new device from another company at a large monthly saving
