I was compelled by my Insurance Company Echelon, to have my motor vehicles fitted with a minimum VESA Level 4 or VSS approved alarm/immobiliser or Tracking Device. I am charged a monthly fee of about R430 for this Tracker for my two vehicles. i have been provided with a remote, which if the vehicle is driven without it being in the vehicle, Tracker Network (Pty) Ltd, would be alerted to the vehicle being driven/taken without authority.
Since the beginning of December 2013, the remote has gone missing and I have never been contacted by Tracker Network, when my vehicle is being driven. This worrisome and a rip-off and the Insurance Company's insistence on the installation, a unnecessary cost.
