Took my son to the movies on Saturday for the 19h45 pm show, stood in the queue for 45mins with an excited son, waiting patiently impatiently to watch Jack the Giant Slayer. Purchase the tickets, with 2 x 3D Glasses. Head over to the cinema, down the isle with much excitement with the little one. Show my tickets to the gentleman, he asks me how old is the little one, I say "5yrs", I ask why, he says he is under age, the movie has a age restriction of 2-10yr. Oh gosh, he apologises and leads us to the manager Mr Thomas Maota who then takes us to the cashier who issued us the tickets Ms Sharon Kgomo. Both these people clueless as to whats going on, I ask the manager and the cashier, why didn't she ask me the question how old is the child before issuing the tickets, and wasting all this time and bursting the child's hopes and excitement. I told the manager if the cashier took the time to conduct her duties appropriately this would never occurred, there is NO excuse, because the gentleman was conscientious. The manager refunded me first R80, thank I had my till slip, I queried why am I getting R80.00 only, when I paid R135.The money refunded, and NO alternatives given. And a SAD CHILD!
